It looks like i only tolerate sedating antidepressants. I’ve been on paroxetine since 2.5 years. I cant tolerate activating antidepressants.
Any suggestions ? I would like to add another antidepressant for mood and panic disorder.
Trazodone is officially classified as an antidepressant. That drug affects different people differently. It puts some people into a deep sleep for twenty hours, and has no effect on other people. Sometimes being in a deep sleep for twenty hours sounds good, but it has no effect on me.

I like cymbalta.
ADs tend to sedate upon starting the med, for a few weeks.
I’ve never experienced sedation from an AD after that, especially while on APs.
Try trazodone, works well for anxiety and sleep.
Mirtazapine will knock you out faster than a punch from Mike Tyson.

Can vouch for Mirtazapine. It works fast, and also can make you a bit hungry too. The dreams are a bit wonky.
