Even my dentist is surprised by the bad condition of my teeth. I didn’t have so many problems before the meds, really. Now I make all the time cervical caries (I heard that the cervical ones are typical from the damages of the meds), I have inflamed gums, my teeth lost their whiteness etc etc…
I even wonder if in my fifties ill still have teeth, wow…
How about you with the meds and your teeth? Please share even if you dont encounter problems on the meds, it will reassure me 
Otherwise I was to the dentist today, yeah. that’s why I talk about this. He made me two caries. The next week, I return to him in order to clean them professionally wow.

Actually going to the dentist is an outing for me
I not noticed the medications giving me any teeth problems I just need brush them more

Yes, I have a fear of swallowing meds, so I always chew them 
There was a med called Pramistar (pramiracetam) which affected my teeth, but I stopped taking it. Now I brush my teeth every day and I use mouthwash too.
I don’t understand how meds can damage your teeth if you swallow them properly with water ?
Meds made my mouth dry, that and drinking coffee wiith that Creamer “Coffee-mate” aka sugar, made for a few extra cavities.

Andrey, I dont invent anything. Its a side effect of the meds. in some people, they ruin the teeth. The mouth gets too dry, you have more plaque which causes caries etc etc. even my doc said that its because of my meds that I have worse teeth now.

Ok thanks. I just done something stupid. I went out with my mom to the food shop but I felt bad suddenly and I left her alone. she went mad… I am so sad now that I deceive her every day and every day…I want to cry now ton of cries…
What meds are you on? Would it make sense to try different medication?
Sounds like risperidone, that stuff kills your teeth for me.
I am on Zyprexa and Depakote. Since one month, I have lithium too.
Lithium ruined my teeth.
Had to get caps.
These meds cause dry mouth and cavities form.
Eroding at your enamel.
Lost my teeth due to poor hygiene but mainly dry mouth caused by APs, and then me drinking cola. Now a proud owner of a set of false teeth that sits in a jar at night! Best thing i ever did tho - no more rotten mouth and i can smile again. Its not so bad once your used to them - most people dont even notice i have dentures , i had them done privately. So yeah, im probably one of many thats lost there teeth due to years on meds…
exactly, guys. Me too I am sure that the meds ruin my teeth. Wave, the lithium is still new to me. its the Zyprexa and the Depakote who’ve done the bad already. but whatever. I am more sad now from what ive done to my mom today… I even cant show her how much I love her. she is really angry now that I left her alone in the shop. am I the only one who does things like this? gosh… I am always scared, always etc etc…

I’ve heard that meds can be really hard on teeth. A dentist told me it happens to other patients on psych meds. My teeth aren’t too bad but they aren’t great either. My mouth gets really dry at night. My dentist said the dry mouth problem is what causes bad teeth often. Ever try bioteen? Not sure about spelling .Helps with dry mouth
Mums can get inpatient
Try to make it up to her when she cools down
Sometimes a symptom might be guilt

Thank you shellys! I am afraid ill break her heart. But she breaks mine too. I even cant see myself how bad I can be but I was really scared this time outside…
whatever… its hard for my relatives too I guess. we are not a gift. I am too needy also in fact. like a child which has 5 years old sometimes…

Did you try talking to your mom and apologizing? Sorry you are upset about how things went but I agree it is difficult. In public i get freaked out by people i don’t know. Is this what happens to you too?
shellys, my last doc thinks about schizoaffective disorder, depressive type. But I lived too many years in isolation and this made my illness bad…
@Hop3, I am paranoid and in the same time irritable toward others. But I am so freaked out by this feeling of anger in me that I want to hide the most of the time. I can be pissed off just by somebodies look on me. dont judge me, I spent 15 years between 4 walls, it can drive mad everybody… My mom is afraid that my new lithium made me more paranoid, I just want to hope that its not the case cause I am desperate on the negative symptoms that I have(I need some relief if you see)…
