An hour and forty-five minutes at the dentist

Because my meds dry my mouth. A dry mouth promotes tooth decay. My dentist sent a letter to my shrink about meds causing tooth decay(I needed six crowns and three fillings.). He sent the letter a month ago and got no response.

There is not much the psychiatrist can do other than decreasing your dosage

Holy crap, man. Sounds like you’re approaching the point of having more filling and crown than actual teeth.

Probably. I brush enough but now I’m paying for not flossing. It has to be the meds plus not seeing the dentist since last March.

I’ve terrible teeth but a couple of years ago I invested in an electric toothbrush. It’s made a big difference touch wood and was well worth the investment. Just little things can make a big difference with your teeth especially with the meds we are on.

Yeah, I had one about 8 years ago. I didn’t have the discipline to use it as much as I was supposed to or the way I was supposed to. But electric toothbrushes aren’t just luxuries, they really clean your teeth better than a manual.

Hope you’ve got good dental insurance. Dang. I just had to get 4 crowns and don’t have dental coverage. It was painful.

I went to the a dental school and I had 14 cavities. The student that did the fillings did more damage. The teeth she worked on are cracking and falling apart. I had to have one of them pulled. Now I got a bunch of cavities again. I do drink a lot of coffee with sugar though.
