The lady from the rescue picked up my dog today. She said she’s going to rehabilitate him. If she can’t she’ll keep him forever. I’m so grateful but so intensely sad. My other dog is looking for his brother. It’s sooo sad. I’m heart broken. But at least we didn’t have to put him down

This is terrible and beautiful news! He is going to be well cared for by her, but you will miss him so much! You did the RIGHT thing. That is admirable and heroic! You inspire me.

I’ve been watching a lot of clips of stray animals in very bad condition getting rescued and brought back to health. Some of those dogs are incredibly emaciated. I like to see them brought back to health.

Thanks @Wave and @FlyingPurplePeopleMeeter! He’s an unpredictable biter who draws blood. We had to let him go, but the lady knows how to handle specifically Lhasa Apsos who bite! Yay! I’m so sad, but I know I’m doing right by him. My other dog is already trying to figure out where his brother is. That’s so sad. But the lady said she’ll send me pics etc so I know how he’s doing. :slight_smile:

@crimby We rescued Barkley when he was almost dead. But we could never get his nervousness and biting under control. Hopefully she can!

Me too. It’s been a really sad day without him. My other dog is walking around with his head down and his tail tucked. It’s breaking my heart.

I’m so sorry to hear about your dog but I do believe you have done the right thing and this couldn’t have been easy.

I remember having to get rid of my cat. It was a very difficult thing to do. I am sorry you had to do this but it sounds like you did the right thing. Hopefully he will live out his life in a place where he is happy and well-cared for. Can you visit him where he will be? If so, that would be cool.
