I thought ITI 007 was toast. Pretty much given up on that one. Min 101 is a few years away unfortunately. We’re not going anywhere anytime soon it seems.
The only other drug that shows promise is Evenamide but that too is a few years away

We demand medication that is completely free of side effects and reverses brain damage or better yet a cure
for schizophrenia.

I don’t think they have the money for more clinical trials so they better hope the FDA approves them for schizophrenia
They’re well funded. They have enough money for another trial if necessary.
Maybe it’s impossible to reverse brain damage. There’s a thing called neurogenesis which can be stimulated by doing aerobic exercises.
brugluiz it is super possible and has been done in animal models.

I hope so, I was really excited about this medication as I know a lot of us were. Maybe the makers of abilify sabotaged the study
Abilify had nothing to do with the study.
Interesting. I didn’t know that medicine was so advanced. I haven’t found any article about it though.

If I smoked cannabis now I would be in a straight jacket, brain smoking looking like Albert Einstein.
The stuff can’t help us poor souls with psychotic disorders.

The only things that have clinical studies behind them for “growing your brain” are aerobic exercise and fish oil. Google is your friend if you want to research that further.

Intra-cellular is scheduled to meet with the FDA later in March to determine if a New Drug Application for ITI-007 will be possible using the Phase 3 results that did not meet a primary endpoint.

For those who may not recall, Intra-Cellular’s stock nosedived nearly 70% in one day back in September, after phase 3 results failed to show a statistically significant response in schizophrenia relative to the placebo. However, the company contends that it’s not uncommon to see high placebo response rates, so it is pursuing a path forward for its experimental schizophrenia drug.”
