it’s like my house in haunted, i will hear noises in the kitchen at night. for the first 2 years i caught many mice, but my mouse traps broke, and now im content to let them live. they are not as frequent as before, but sometimes i am still awaken at night, by sounds in my house. i clean my kitchen daily and don’t leave out food so that has kept them from making a mess, but sometimes they do get in my trash. i hear them, wake up, and go back to bed now.

they are exceptional climbers i learned, being able to get up on counter tops. and into my trash can.

You should get an ultrasonic rodent repeller on amazon. I’ve used them before and they keep rodents away.

he made an appearance last week. i saw him in the high weeds, near the woods behind the house. he is still scared of me and runs for safety every time i see him. about a month ago i spotted him coming out of his burrow, under my garden shed. soon he will be hibernating. i also hear him under the house sometimes, he rubs up against the air ducts and it sounds like something is in my air ducts from inside. i really don’t want him under the trailer, but i guess he has upgraded from his burrow. i think he gets in from under my back porch. for awhile in the spring i was paranoid a mouse got in my air ducts and would die there and stink up the place. but it was just steve.
i don’t know how long groundhogs live in the wild? the neighbors dogs are always after him, but he gives them the slip.

I felt the same way, when there were mice in the house. I didn’t want to kill them. but you might want to kill them. My father basically said that if we didn’t kill them they would never leave the house.
