I have hope as the years go by and as more research is done, that better treatments for mental illness will come out. Maybe even legit cures in a decade or two. Time is our friend… Technology and everything will improve. I wonder by the year 2040 what new medication will be out. There is hope in my opinion. Things will get better with time.
Anyone agree or disagree ?
I will be too old to care at that point. Good for the next generation.
How old are you now if you don’t mind me asking? @TomCat
I am 49. In 2040 I will be 60 and won’t care anymore but if something better comes a long I will try it.
You’ve got another solid 30-40 years left on this Earth, you’re not even old! You’ll definitely be around for the upcoming breakthroughs in treatment
Very little has changed since the first generation antipsychotic medications came out in the 1950s.
Hopefully things will start improving for us in major ways.
I am hopeful and optimistic.
I’m glad you’re optimistic! @Wave
I agree with you.
“People overestimate what will happen in two years, but underestimate what will happen in ten.” --Bill Gates.
Science is built on science, and I believe AI is going to advance medicine exponentially.
I’m 55, but this isn’t about me. I’m excited about the future of mental health.
Vraylar seems way better than those APs that came out in the 1950s…
I like that quote from Bill Gates! @anon17132524
Drugs have most definitely improved since the 50’s @insidemind
