The candle light: 21 years ago I shipped my car to Europe

I had lived over two years in my car in Miami and elsewhere in America. On 8th of April 2002 I shipped my car to Antwerp, Belgium and I started sleeping on the lawns of Miami Beach. I lived outside without any car nearly one month before I went to one hotel near Miami International airport where I stayed for three days. This was when I started my journey back to Finland. In the beginning of May 2002 I flew first to Chicago and then continued to Brussels, Belgium. I stayed at one hotel near the Islamic neighborhood in Brussels and also went to Antwerp to check if my car had arrived. The car, Mazda 626, had not come yet and so I rerouted the shipment from Antwerp to Helsinki. And so I stayed in Brussels for a few days more, but then I took trains from Belgium through Germany and Denmark to Stockholm, Sweden from where I took a cruise to Helsinki where I waited for my car. It eventually arrived at the port of Helsinki and I processed it through the necessary paperwork and then drove to my little town here in Eastern Finland where I have been for 21 years in this May.
