Almost exactly 19 years ago I shipped my auto from Miami to Antwerp, Belgium after which I slept on the lawns of Miami Beach until my flight to Brussels one month after. It took 1.5 months me to reunite with my auto in Helsinki. It is a long story but I survived.
I’m glad you made it through all that
The most important thing when sleeping on the lawns of Miami Beach was to find a secure place for sleeping. Behind the public library in the park was secure. There was also a short distance to the public shower on the beach. Well, it was an experience. When I arrived at Brussels I went to a cheap hotel. Brussels is an interesting city to walk around.
I used to run away from home and stay on the streets when I did. I tried to sleep laying on concrete in strip malls because I didn’t want to fall deeply asleep. I had to be aware of my surroundings especially since I was a young teen girl ages 13 to 16
Before I shipped my auto to Antwerp, Belgium, I slept over two years in my auto mostly in Miami but also elsewhere in America. The car provided some security, but still I had to find a secure location. Once I was in New York City and stayed there one week. I parked my auto near the Battery Park close to the WTC buildings. It was secure, but at nights there are all kinds of people on the streets in NYC. Well, I survived.
