The bullying of children who are different

The question I would ask is why should children who are different be bullied? It mirrors the kind of hatred that can be shown to minority groups such as immigrants and the transgendered.
Are children who bully more hardwired to be sociopathic adults?

Some what. I have met many a bully as I am sure you have as well. They are jerky people. Some of them bully out of self-hatred while others just bully, because they don’t like difference. Few have ever really liked those who aren’t like themselves in nature. Bullies are animalistic in ways.

I’ve met “recovered” bullies, people that genuinely regret bullying as kids.

I have as well, but the way they affected the bullied sticks with those kids forever. I can look at bullies that bullied me and forgive them, but I will still be affected as many are.

i was bullied all throughout school growing up. Kids can be cruel. It definitely had a huge effect on me. It made me quiet and shy and feeling like people will and are making fun of me. I get scared of people and think they may harm me. When I’m around people I don’t know I still feel like I’m 13 years old and I’m being bullied and ■■■■ when it isn’t even happening. I’m sensitive too which never helped. I’m not an immigrant or trans, I’m just weird! :expressionless:

I was bullied too, can’t forgive either. But that doesn’t mean they’re all sociopaths

“children who are different” … ,

Hey @firemonkey Explain that Quote Please .

Yeah, I know. I just am still a bit bitter. Bullies just get to me. I’ll never forget being called a freak for tricholtillomania and can’t forgive or like them ever again. As long as they don’t let their kids be jerks. Idk. I’m bitter about this topic :frowning: . They are still peple in the end as are we.

Yeah I get it. I was physically beaten for letting the other team score a goal (I was the goalie) in soccer in school. I can’t stop myself for fearing that person, she eventually got arrested and the last I heard she was still in jail. But others that followed her just wanted to belong, weren’t really “bad” kids, just deviated.

Later on I was deviated too, but never I bullied, just smoked pot lol

@EmilyTheStrange I can identify with what you say. It’s hard not to go back to the time when you were bullied when faced with interacting with others.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

For me, I was able to pick up on math concepts easily and began helping people. Awkwardly…the kid who bullied me needed help. I helped her out and her friends. I guess they were like “she may have no eyebrows, but she is alright” so…I guess I just kinda was like idk, don’t hurt me, I can help you understand…

Lol. I’ve only smoked like twice and my brain did not react well. XD

Children who bully chronically tend to be insecure, or in worst case scenarios struggling with issues at home. Not necessarily sociopathic.

Also sometimes kids are just dumb. I used to be bullied because I hung out with boys in elementary school.

In my case-physically and socially awkward. Basically children with developmental, learning or physical disabilities for instance. For example children with ASD are often bullied.
I hope @ATARI you are not trying to start an argument where there is no need for one.

Just don’t stay bitter from all of that. High school is hell, kids are mean, and we make friends also. Sometimes those friendships last other times don’t. It’s not that big of a deal anyway. It can scar you if you let it, if you understand that it’s not about you, it’s about them, then you’re kinda relieved from the situation.
