The association between early-onset schizophrenia with employment, income, education, and cohabitation status: nationwide study with 35 years of follow-up

“Individuals with less chronic course of schizophrenia had a gradual but substantial improvement throughout their work life.”
well that makes me feel better

Most of us don’t work and we live alone…it’s accurate to me.

I didn’t have early onset but I live with my wife and I am employed and have three college degrees. One after I got sick.

I had a chronic case and according to my treatment team I still do although I have gotten better. Improvement is possible. My psychiatrist said working is good therapy.

One can never give up hope. Don’t be a statistic or dwell on negatives in these studies.

It would have taken quite a lot of help and support to get me into an academic/work environment . That never came when it could have helped the most .

It’s only the in last 23 months with the combination of my stepdaughter’s help and support , and being under a better mental health trust , that things have improved .
