The ASD disjoint

I post on an autism forum . There can be a disjoint between how someone comes across and their stated difficulties/ problems .There will be those who come across well but function badly , and those who are the opposite .

As someone said there can be a highly articulate and intelligent poster, but that person will state their difficulties with things a child can do .

If this can be a source of puzzlement even on such a forum , one can only imagine the incredulity of large swathes of the general public .

I can be a lot more articulate when I am writing on forums than how I would be able to communicate verbally.

For me being sat in front of a computer and conversing about things through this medium means my short comings socially can be put to one side.

This is because text to me is easier to work out, and there is no nonsense like small talk or other cues your supposed to remember when dealing f2f.

I post on this forum…a music forum…and a political forum.

Musicians can be nutty and political arguments can get really crazy.

Sometimes I forget what forum I am on at any given time. I mean, all of us here are slightly kooky to some degree, but it isn’t exclusive to just us I have found. My other forums can get truly wacky as well.
