Teeth grinding?

I noticed a new habit since last year when I started haloperidol - I grind my front top and bottom teeth together. It seems to be a nervous habit… anyone else do this? How can I stop it?

i do this more at night so i have a mouth guard for when i sleep if i sleep

My mouth grinds and chews. I believe I’ve developed TD from Navane, which is also a 1st gen AP. I have to talk to my pdoc about it. You might want to mention it to yours.

I do. Get a bite guard from your dentist. It’ll save your teeth. You can get OTC but guards but they don’t work quite as well and make sure if you get the OTC kind make sure it’s specifically for grinding so you don’t hurt your jaw

I do this too. Definitely get a mouth guard. Helps a lot.
You may also be grinding your teeth in your sleep and not realising it, while doing a bunch of damage (I was).

I had bruxism on abilify and it stayed when I switched to invega. I took propranolol and it reduced it. Then I switched to latuda and it went away.
