Teaching myself how to read again

Just picked up “the foundation trilogy” again…only about five pages per setting but I’ll take it…makes me feel really good to be reading again. For years I wouldn’t try because I only got so far as a page or so, but with practice, I’m up to five pages !! If you find you can’t read ( I believe it’s the brain damage caused by psychosis), just keep trying…it’s so rewarding !! What are you reading right now if you read?

oh please try again…don’t give up…even if you just have to read one page at a time, it builds up…it’s tricky…it will take me a year to read at this pace. I also used to love to read…read almost all the Stephen King books before I got sick…wrote a book don’t know how I did that…but now it’s so hard to concentrate…I just put some classical music on or something that doesn’t have words. @LilyoftheValley the way you deal with your paranoia is worthy of being inspiring too.

I wish I could enjoy fiction again. it was OK when I thought no one could imagine characters and scenes.

I am lucky I am sensitive to my meds and don’t even feel paranoid at all, and you struggle so much but like when you went to lunch the other day, that’s so great.

I spend my time reading the things on the internet. I read lots of books in the past. Before 2005. I read these days informal stuff. I lost interest as a whole to read books. I rather engage in conversations.
