Picked up a book again

Its been a while but i picked up a book again. Its an old ny times bestseller that you would see in an airport or something.

Who knew i would be reading about victorian politics. Its the only fiction book i had. My library is full of philosophy and self help… Not always page turners unless your trying to figure something out.

Feels like my brain was massaged after i read. Im quite a capable reader and eventually would like to take on The Forge And The Crucible and Finnegans Wake.

But i think ill just start out with a few novels.

Yeah good for you. I used to read voraciously before psychosis. Only just got back into last few years so probably 15 years where I read a book a year.

It gets easier but I am a fan of sci fi and other escapist literature. It’s not bad to read something that is fun to read. Saying that. I do two books and one will be non fiction.

Enjoy your reading and keep at it. It is a good thing for the mind.

Its a scene from 2001 Space Odyssey where apes are pointing and shouting at a black monolith. I was inspired by my favourite lecturer terrence mckenna who pointed out this scene in a lecture.
