Does anyone know if it’s possible to have taste hallucinations? Cause today things keep tasting wrong like a couple things tasted like blood. I had a bite of a sandwich and it tasted like literal dirt. Is this a hallucination or???

Sounds like one. I used to get the thing where I can smell weed on my breathe but with my tongue.

Yes you can have any kind of sensory hallucination, gustatory just isn’t very common

Ah thank you! I didn’t know there was a name for it! I wasnt sure if I was just having weird tastebuds or what. I have to say though I hate it

Yes, there is such a thing as taste hallucinations. These are called gustatory hallucinations. And sometimes the tastes are very mild and sometimes they are very terrible indeed. I’ve experienced both.
