I might be changing my mind on going.
Ok but I would still contact your doctor.
See what he or she says.
Definitely talk to your prescribing doctor. It can progress quickly if you donât manage it. Benztropine can help, but if your haldol is whatâs causing it, your doctor may decide to put you on something else or lower your dose of haldol. Lowering the dose may aggravate the TD at first, but it soon calms down. Saphris caused my TD, and once I was off it for a little while, the symptoms went away.
Clozaril/ clozapine is an AP that isnât really supposed to worsen symptoms of TD. Yes, you do have to get a CBC to be on it- every week for the first six months, then every other week for the next six months, then every month after that. It can cause a drop in white blood cells. The pharmacy you pick the medication up at has to be enrolled in the clozaril program in order to dispense the medication, and you only get enough to last you until your next blood draw.
I donât want clozaril I still have a bit to change my med to. If it gets worse Iâll to go the er. Smoking nicotine doesnât help.
Maybe only take it at night the haldol not twice a day
