I hate when people talk about me like they know me …I hate that I cannot distinguish the difference between their actually talking about me or it being a delusion …I wonder if hate is too strong of a word - yes I’ve tried all the med’s for it nothing has worked but thanks for suggesting meds…
tricks that have worked for me;
- don’t look at people in the street
- remember most people are so pre-occupied they are not interested in you
- most of the time it is a delusion.
- remember their opinion is just that, ’ their ’ opinion.
take care
I just am apathetic towards what everyone thinks because I’m not seeking a girlfriend or a job so I don’t have to impress anyone and no one understands me anyway.
Yes - I am not in competition with anyone and I move forward focusing on tasks at hand and sure to not let the mind dwell.
I, too, doubt that meds always get this done. And I cannot assure you that anything will. But I can assure you that a lot of people get an increased capacity to manage the emotional effects of the voices – and disengage from them – by using psychotherapies like those listed below. The voices may still be there, but one’s attachment to them is often considerably reduced.

I’ll pick up the same post I just did elsewhere because I think it fits well here.

Well don’t hate that only destroys you. Chances are they are not talking about you but even if the were, what’s the difference? You only have control of your own thoughts and behaviors, so let it be. Let it go.
Which is very difficult for many sz patients because they did not acquire the skills to be able to do so in earlier life. That’s what all those psychotherapies are for.
yeah I know I learned this conceprt late in life in therapy.
Likewise. But WAAAAAAAY better late than never.
At 49 years of Age I am still considering myself a work in progress and I agree with this sage advice cause we’ve made it this far - why not keep refining as we proceed. Anyone try out this Sarcosine? I’m taking klonopin for anxiety and it suits me just fine - just wondering
I am currently working a part time job with UBER and I like it - just got to make sure I don’t make too much money to ruin my SSDI
Happy January
I’m on it in the form of ProFrontal which is a combination of sarcosine and another thing. I think there’s maybe a difference, mostly better concentration. is it doing anything for you?
