Talked to my new pdoc today

She is very young, sweet, and professional. Right out of her residency training so she is cutting her teeth on me.

Anyways, she did the diagnostic interview. Everything went well. I told her the whole, sh-tty truth. May she conclude what she may.

She knows I’m trying to phase out my Risperdal Consta shots and why (to improve my pianism). I’m currently on three AP’s. She told me that she’d like to see me on one eventually, if possible. That sounds good to me!

I will see her again in two months.

Pianism is violent to the hands. It might be one of the reasons you need so many aps. Give your hands special love.

My pdoc I got a couple of years ago is relatively young too

Going from a veteran pdoc to a fresh one wasn’t actually a problem you might think it to be on paper.

He’s much more accessible, and is really passionate

I’d say that being fresh is a really good thing.

Psychiatry is a changing beast, and these newer doctors seem to be well trained and up to date

Good luck with it @SkinnyMe - keep us posted.

I can guarantee you @PinCushion that my idea of “pianism” is Not violent to the hands. I heard the term being used several times in a couple of my piano magazines and I am only guessing at it’s meaning and probably using it incorrectly. Sorry.

Could you define pianism for me @PinCushion?

“The art or technical skill of playing the piano or composing piano music.”
