Sz themed art

It’s been a while since one of these… I’ve had a lethargic week!
When I draw things like this I always translate my personal symbols into more general/readable symbols that have a similar significance. :smiley:
Warning for mild nudity…

@Ninjastar Thank you! :smiley:

@Loke I draw nicer things sometimes…

@anon48059102 I use Paint Tool Sai and a Wacom tablet. And thanks I like to be neat, very neat, this is messy by my standards. Do you draw (and if so post it here?)

i like the second pic alot better, not keen on needles and nudity tbh or the fetus, it is very artistic but yeah i guess i am more uber conservative, not to say that i dont appreciate the interesting things lol. its just a personal thing,

I like there to be a positive spin on everything now, negative or what i perceive as negative just drags me down tbh (no offence)

@Mike71717 Thanks! It’s commissioned :smiley:

@anon48059102 NICCE STUFF! I like the colours you use.

@daydreamer Makes sense, the 1st pic is not about happy things, definitely more for either catharsis or the horror crowd. The fetus cherubs in particular are related to hallucinations I have. Here are some other more pleasant ones:

@Daze It’s very personal to my experience not a general depiction :slight_smile:

these are good, its pretty cool bc sometimes a character looks masculine and feminine lol confuses me a little haha like the character with the sword. the bottom picture confuses me a bit as well but idk why haha

Thanks! I’m not sure what it is about slug girl/sword girl that confuses people because I didn’t really intend to make her androgynous but I get those comments a lot :thinking: Is it the baggy clothes? or her figure. I have a soft spot for masculine women anyway…

You are very talented, I wish I could do art, I think it would be very interesting but I wouldn’t know where to start. The art class at my clubhouse has been making collages and I have made one of those before, I think I’d like to do one but we have a discussion group on at the same time but when I get the chance I’m going to look for images and do a collage, it’s great for ideas and I won’t need to draw much although I might try.

Thanks! You should learn to draw, I find it very healing plus it’s a productive hobby… The art class sounds like a good idea, in the end drawing is the kind of thing you can self-teach with few tools if you really want to, especially with the internet (there’s lots of tips and tutorials out there.) Takes time but it’s worth it. What would you want to draw?

Yknow, not sure if this is relevant but: especially as adults I see people get frustrated when learning art, worried about lacking talent… I think it’s important to keep in mind that your skill at “seeing” is more developed than your skill at “making” and it can take a while to catch up… I feel like those skills for me are always increasing at different rates, sometimes I can’t SEE my mistakes and think I’m awesome, sometimes I can’t MAKE to the standard I want and I feel lost, but in reality it’s always ticking up if you’re practicing.

yeah i hear you, our imagination is our playground but i know sometimes it can get blunted bc of mi, my imagination is not amazing visually, it used to be a lot better but sz + meds took its toll, still it has been improving, as well as my motivation to get creative,

i’d like to make people think about the meaning that i’m trying to evoke, first thing that i thought of was a struggle but putting that down could be difficult, i would like to make people think deeply but it would have to be towards a positive outcome.
