Women everywhere have trouble keeping makeup off of their clothing. Either makeup was spilled during application or smudges and stains were created when the clothing was put on or taken off. No matter what, these types of stains are frustrating and quite common. Through the use of some basic stain removal techniques, you too can remove makeup, especially mascara, stains from your clothes. These stain removal techniques should save you money on dry cleaning bills and allow you to keep your clothes looking newer, longer.

Things You’ll Need

Bar soap
Dish detergent
Shampoo

Instructions

    1

    Wet the mascara stain with water. Begin to rub bar soap into the stain to remove all traces of the mascara, or as best as possible. Wash the stain with warm water and then launder the clothing as directed on the label.

    Inspect the item of clothing. Wet the stain with water if the mascara stain was not completely removed in the wash. Apply dish detergent directly to the stain and rub it in until the stain disappears. Rinse the stain with warm water and launder as directed.
    3

    Take the wet shirt and apply shampoo directly to the stain, if it has not been removed. Rub the shampoo into the stain until the stain disappears. Launder as directed. This method can be used in addition to Step 1 and 2 or in place of either step, depending on the items you have readily available at home.

I don’t know. Is it a confidence thing? A stress thing? Remind her that no matter how she feels before the exams, when it comes time to take them, she always does good.
