well, it took two months later after she went out of heat before we felt safe enough to spay missy and tomorrow is the day we drop her off at 7 am and get her back 5 pm. kind of nervous…wife says keep it to myself…it’s just that she will be awake the way to the clinic in Oklahoma city with a bunch of other caged barking dogs and she will probably think we abandoned her…poor dear…any advice in coping with this? It has me frazzled today.
Ask if she can have a benadryl before she goes.

I hated it when we have had to drop off maggie for eye surgery in the past. Hated leaving her with other people. She is so dependent on us. Fortunately most of time we were gone she was drugged up on anesthetics so I think the time went by reasonably quickly for her.
She’s been fixed and both eyes worked on, so hopefully thats the last time we have to do it for awhile.
So, I feel your pain on this one.

oh it’s too late to ask anyone…they leave early in the morning…good idea, but I fear that might interact with the anestesia.
