we went early thank goodness because there are only so many they will do each month…but we “got in” so it’s fine…her surgery is may 18th…yayy.

@Rainstorm yes, we got her before our eldest dog died about four months ago…she was in heat when we got her so just been waiting until it was a couple months away so she could get fixed. thanks for asking.

Its a good decision to get her fixed. I had my dog fixed also.
It really is good you are doing this. My husband had a dog he loved, bay-b, and when she was 8 she got a nasty infection in her uterus. She was essentially bleeding out, couldnt move, high fever, it was terrible. The vet did an emergency surgery, which was about $2k, and she came home. Then passed away that evening from a suspected blood clot. It wrecked him. It was so sad. I tell everyone to get their dogs fixed, especially their female dogs, because of it.

My pup was spayed when about 6 months old. That’s usually too early but her mama was only 9 months old when she got pregnant with 11 puppies. I’m glad I got Shadow fixed so I don’t have to worry about puppies.
