Supplement Review

I’m going to post my experiences with several supplements that I’ve tried.

L-Theanine - Relaxing at small doses, sedating with high ones. Can become habit forming if taken for an extended period of time.

Taurine - A mellow buzz if taken in small doses. Never tried high dosage.

Kava Kava - Similiar to a very small dose of an atypical anti-psychotic. Short duration. Do not take with anti psychotics as it can trigger EPS.

GABA - It does not cross the BBB however it is picked up by the CNS and can give you a body high.

Ashwaganda - I found this to have a mild stimulating effect, lasts for about 6-8 hours.

Relora - Felt nothing with this supplement.

Niacin - I don’t understand how this can be a “cure” for schizophrenia when it raises dopamine levels. Tried it a couple times, the flush feels amazing. Recommended if going to a massage to take it before hand, will feel awesome.

Sarcosine - It’s not bad of a supplement, but has a short duration. However, taken with Taurine has proved to be longer.

NAC - Tried and it gave me horrible acid reflux at just 1g.

Oleamide - No effect whatsoever.

CBD E Liquid - felt great after vaping 2 tanks during the whole day at 100mg. Ordered 300mg. Quite expensive but has great potential to be an anti - psychotic.

Gingko Biloba - stimulates the hippocampus at higher dosages (240mg) felt more alert and focused during the day.

Still trying new supplements, will update this thread in the future.

This is banned in Europe as even small amounts can cause liver damage. Avoid.

Not necessarily. It all depends on the type. I’ve used it for about a month with no effect whatsoever

Yes necessarily.

Outcome and Management
The severity of liver injury ranges from transient and moderate enzyme elevations to symptomatic acute hepatitis to acute liver failure. In most instances, the liver injury subsides within 1 to 3 months of discontinuing the herbal product, but if fulminant hepatitis develops, a liver transplant may be required. Rechallenge leads to prompt recurrence and should be avoided.

I remember going to a health shop before kava kava got banned. The woman asked why I wanted it. I didn’t want to say ‘to get high’ so I lamely said I heard it’s ‘good’. Did get high off it though.

I currently take

L-Theanine (up to 1100 mg in a day) everyday (it’s been 4 months)
3-5 mg Melatonin every night (it’s been two weeks)
4 gr sarcosine everyday (it’s been one year)
Omega 3 - 1000 mg everyday (it’s been 4 months)
NAC - 600 mg (it’s been 6 weeks)
