I don’t share the hatred to the absolute of superhero movies. I think some are good and some are bad and some are mediocre.

I do however believe that the critics and IMDB/RottenTomatoes/awards have no clue. I TRIED watching the movies that were top rated/criticallyacclaimed/etc recently.

I have enjoyed movies more with middle ground ratings and critic reviews than I have those with high. I just watched a movie called “the pale blue eye” which had a rating of like 6.6 on imdb and a 60 something percent on rotten tomatoes, which, although it wasnt perfect, was 1000 times better than supposedly 96 percenters on rotton tomatoes I have watched.

It just goes to show that much of these ratings are based on things other than entertainment value.

Hey inception was ground breaking when it came out. I quite like that movie but am totally on your side about the superhero movies. I hate superhero films. They’re all very similar anyway.

i love superhero movies but i dont believe they are substantial enough to overtake pieces of art like movies that have much more complexity. just like how i love comic books but there are much better actual books from a literary standpoint. i think superheroes have been monopolized to the point where they are convincing the media they are more than what they are, i find the stories interesting but mostly they are just fun movies with no seriousness

all in all i think people should just watch what they like and not pay attention to ranking and charts. like music is the same there is so much garbage music that has topped the charts and won awards,
