Think going gym suits me better in the morning. I seem to be more alert at work also and not so tired. So mentally it helps too. I notice I am a lot calmer too. And the bonus is walking up steps and walking in general doesn’t get much as out of breath as it used to.
Today I left home for the gym around 6:30. Got to my local train station and it was shut as it is Sunday. I didn’t know. So I decided rather than going back home or waiting 24 minutes for the bus, I walked 25 minutes or so to the gym. Then I did about 20 minutes of rowing. I would have done an extra ten mins doing something else but I had walked so I allowed it.
I agree. I wish I had done the gym thing in the morning before. I might have avoided all that feeling tired at work. It really wakes you up, boosts energy levels and mental sharpness throughout the day too. It kinda helps now that my work shift is a few afternoons a week.
fair play for getting active… I jog 20 mins a day…it makes me feel good too…by the way, id like to ask you how is it that you are so well, holding down a job and getting to the gym
It is a part-time job Karl. I think that helps. I work less than 20 hours a week. And this week I am only working 4 days so not much.Probably around 18 hours or something. It’s different every week but always less than 20 hours.
Finally, I do struggle. I struggled during for around three months starting december feeling really low in energy , tired all the time and not wanting to go out… the doctor said it might have been depression. I don’t know. I seem to have more energy for exercise I never had before. I have been to the gym 8 times already in about 2 weeks. That’s a lot for me . I just hope I can keep the motivation going.
And 20 mins a day is really good. Well done. I wish I could run/job but I haven’t got the confidence or the strength yet. I get out of breath trying I walk on the treadmill that’s all.
