I want to become a bit more physically active, what’s a reasonable amount of steps to walk every day to start out with?
I don’t count steps, but walking for 30 minutes minimum in regular tempo, preferably in one go has kept my health decent over the last 10 years.
What you’re able to comfortably and then a bit more.
I would say start with 7000 a day. That seems like a challenging but doable target.
I find it helpful to have the same tour all the time. Like walking around a park, a block or walking the same streets. This way i can observe my progress better and create a routine.
Today I walked for about an hour. Tempo was a bit faster than normal. I didn’t break a sweat but I feel much better right now. I wish I had the tenacity and resolve to do this every day, but I skip some.
