Substance-induced psychosis

“A 2019 systematic review and meta-analysis by Murrie et al found that the pooled proportion of transition from substance-induced psychosis to schizophrenia was 25% (95% CI 18%–35%), compared with 36% (95% CI 30%–43%) for brief, atypical and not otherwise specified psychoses . Type of substance was the primary predictor of transition from drug-induced psychosis to schizophrenia, with highest rates associated with cannabis (6 studies, 34%, CI 25%–46%), hallucinogens (3 studies, 26%, CI 14%–43%) and amphetamines (5 studies, 22%, CI 14%–34%). Lower rates were reported for opioid (12%), alcohol (10%) and sedative (9%) induced psychoses.”

Drugs can cause schizophrenia!

Damn I should have never smoked weed, maybe I wouldn’t have had sz or it would have been milder. I had my first psychosis when I started weed, became violent and destroyed the mirror in the bathroom bcz it was talking to me.

I thought it was weed too then I started getting memories of being abducted by aliens, which I think were fake and really human beings being ‘sneaky’. Not sure how I made it alive unless I’m a clone. Nobody deserves this. I personally think I’m immortal in a way. I keep coming back alive but I hate going back in time repeatedly and restarting my life all over again fresh. It puts the concept of ‘tabula rasa’ in the trash, basically. What I’m remembering is different than standard reincarnation. I’m in a time loop. If I was truly reincarnating, I would probably be living during war world 2 or something. Can’t say my life would be better or worse. Schizophrenia sucks. At least with a dash of Aspergers, I could have been an esteemed scientist.

Can’t do ■■■■ about it and can’t force people to accept my story though.

I heard robots talking to me when I smoked weed.

Technically substance induced psychosis was my first diagnosis combined with Aspergers, ocd, anxiety, and depression from the ‘red headed’ psychiatrist. I also had a psychologist entertain the idea of acute stress disorder.

Not sure why the government would stage a fake alien abduction scenario on me while studying at college unless it was real aliens. This was back in 2011 and I had no knowledge of this until about 2015. In 2016, I saw a small fleet of these guys (same type of craft) over my house and they electronically attacked me which resulted in a 5150’d. They got into my head.

They said I helped design them I think. I have vague memories of building the UFOs. But maybe I went to space or some ■■■■.

I’m watching TV shows about why the government abducts its own people and it’s: to instill fear, to exchange technology for human beings, and to experiment on them. I guess that’s why. I don’t know. I always assumed it was something I did wrong because I remember the police coming into my room while I was smoking pot back in 2011 but I’m not so sure…it could have been a different life. Where’s the outcry and proof you say? They must have been some Men in Black type guys I guess…

See I remember being told on the telephone in a past life they put in me Monarch project. Then I remember being convinced and compelled that I was in the Montauk Project. It all started with a hunch and a feeling that things were not right and things were off like MK-Ultra or something sinister but not all too bad. Like MK-Ultra IS bad but what I went through was worse.

Furthermore, I also remember them telling me about the SSP and that they could take me to Mars and the Moon. I don’t know if this all comes from dreams or past life recollections or my missing time.

I’ve time traveled and met Illuminati people and aliens too in my past lives.

I’ve even been a Super Soldier. I guess they’re all parallel universes and different dimensions. I’m guessing it’s all alien stuff mostly because we still can’t figure out how to get back to the moon or go to mars…

I figure we live in a simulation but who created it? God?

I often felt that tofranil which I took as a teenager and as a young adult caused mine.

This site has very good resources about that:

“Those who were heavy consumers of cannabis at age 18 were over 600% more likely to be diagnosed with schizophrenia over the next 15 years than those did not take it.”

Wow that is a lot!

I’m at high risk and I have never touched weed or drugs, probably if I did it I would be schizophrenic.

When I smoked weed at 18 y.o. I didn’t know that it can cause sz. I thought only hard drugs can like cocaine. I only tried weed, nothing else, but from what I read weed is the worse!

Where weed is legal they should warn people to be careful about psychotic symptoms and schizophrenia.

I smoked it when it was illegal sadly, my friend who strangely is a computer programmer making tons of money smoked it. He pushed me into trying it, I thought he was a good friend because he’s smart.

Now weed is legal here and it has a warning about causing and worsening schizophrenia on the bottle by the government:

That is good but they should also mention to not smoke again if you have psychosis, or if someone in your family has schizophrenia.

I don’t hallucinate or hear voices at all. Never have really. Maybe had some minor auditory stuff here and there a few years ago off meds but it was neurological while falling a sleep.

My main problem was delusion management, severe DP/DR to the point of insanity/delusion, negative symptoms, cognitive decline, anxiety, substance use (energy drinks and cigs), and depression. All severe forms and cases. I guess I’m lucky. I can still do math and learn but it takes 10x longer and 10x longer to retain.

I have zero motivation and poor executive fuctioning and management. Auditory skills suck as well as efficiency and doing stuff is non existent now. People can do 100x as much as me. I used to do 10x as much as them.

Delusions are worse for me. I brlieved that I am Jesus and tried to kill myself twice to prove it.

Does caffeine slightly help your negative symptoms?
It does for me.
