Stupidly agreed to increase my antipsychotic. On CTO

I think I’ve been tricked into having a increase in my antipsychotic. pdoc used the tactic being nice to me and making it sound like it was my decision. I ask him will it help with my depression, he said yes. I think he may of tricked me?

  • Do you think they would increase invega because of depression symptoms alone or do they think I’m becoming psychotic again?

  • I’m on a community treatment order and am court appointed to take this depot. Do you think they will increase it anyway without my permission, maybe making me more complient by saving it was my choice? Can I get out of it?

There’s no easy, safe way out of a community treatment order. Asking to break it is a pretty grey area, too. If you’re really interested in that then you should talk to a lawyer, but you could lose your state-sponsored benefits.

They can increase dosage without your consent, also. If you feel stable at your current dose, ask them to keep it there, you’ll have to be somewhat assertive but not aggressive, which they will assume is a symptom.

Wish I could tell you something more uplifting.

To my knowledge invega does not function as an antidepressant thus it was likely increased in dose because they saw your psychotic symptoms coming out again. If it’s court ordered I’m pretty sure they can do whatever they want without your permission as you’re deemed unable to make proper decisions for yourself.

Invega has some antidepressant properties.
Listen to your doctor @bobbilly.
Seems like he wants to help.
