I support professional medical monitors on something like this. A day program of sorts.
Funny enough, I’ve been in a mycology study binge.
Just rained today. I want to go hike the woods. Lol
I’ve learned cap and gill types, fringe and skirt, how to spore print.
I’d love to do some classes on the topic of fungi.
I just put 3 mushroom books on hold yesterday! Absolutely love looking for them.
Just don’t eat anything until you know everything down pat. Even then, keep checking.
There was this guy in the church we went to that had a terribly bad trip on psilocybin, and afterwards he carried a Bible with him everywhere he went. I suppose some people would think that was positive, but it looked to me like it was a reaction to unholy terror.
Oh my no, I’m way to inexperienced to pick or even eat my findings yet. I’m still neophyte.
The Asian market in my village sells a whole bunch of types of cool edible ones.
There are 3 very easy to identify.
Oysters
Chicken of the woods
Morels
I can’t remember the names off of my head, but I saw some that turn blue within seconds after cutting into them. That was cool. Also some of the sporing.
Have you ever done any of the mushroom growing kits? Those looked fun too.
I have! Back to Roots oyster kit. I have one that I need to get growing now.
One time I was walking on a backroad that went around a hill in such a way that you could get away from day treatment without being seen, and I came across a huge bed of orangish red colored mushrooms. I’m thinking someone had to plant them, because I had never seen anything like that in the Oklahoma woods before. I picked one and nibbled on it a little, which was very stupid, because it could have been poisonous. I’ve walked that way since then, and the orangish red mushrooms had all disappeared.
Good thing it went ok. Worst case, poison mushrooms can kill you or put you on dialysis for life.
Of course it relieves depression, it gets you high.
Don’t know about this psilocybin. There are lots of herbs that work as mild anti-depressives that might be better alternatives. I just have a feeling psilocybin might backfire somehow, but we will see with time.
Magic mushrooms? No fukking thanks.
I’ll stick with lamictal
My husband is totally neurotypical and got wicked depressed after his mom died.
I think psilocybin pulled him out of that depression.
I’ve tried the same to no results.
I don’t know how this stuff works, but it does for some people, doesn’t for others in my personal experience.
My friend wanted to drive across the country to meet up and try some mushrooms and sit in the woods. He was saying it might improve my view of the world and help me with self defeating thinking.
I told him no because I think my meds would stop it from working and I wouldn’t want to go off them. Also I feel like it could trigger psychosis
My roommate took 5 grams once. He was into this terrence mckenna dude at the time.
He turned into some sorta Neanderthal lol.
I’ve driven drunk, high, tripping on acid, wired, on heroin, crack and cocaine (not all at once) but the only time I couldn’t drive was when I was on psilocybin.
No way I’ll ever touch this stuff. I can’t even handle weed.
