Struggling with food these days

Let me explain.
My pension is so low, it’s like the government is joking with us.

I followed prices in rest of normal European countries and they are same.

So if I go to store, I spend my pension in five days…

Now I’m eating peanut butter morning and diner, and buy something for lunch, like cheap pies in bakery.

My only source of cooked food are neighbours.

I don’t have any kitchen for poor near me.

My problem is that I WON’T buy food. Got five kgs of rice, and I’m gonna eat it every day.

Say no to stores!

You probably pay a lot for rent. Is there any way to get cheaper rent?

No, apartment is mine.
I just don’t want to pay food…

I’ve got a lot of rice from the free food bank in the USA. I bought some dry lentils to cook with the rice. The lentils will cook in 20 or 30 minutes with no overnight soaking.

I own a rice cooker but haven’t used it in 15 years so it may not work. I would recommend them to anyone.

Back when I was working, I had to eat.
I was in McD every other day.
Now I can’t work.
I’m bit ashamed with my situation…
I get nervous from frustration that I depend.
I wish a job better than this.

I’m starting to like rice and beans - you Yanks may be onto something.
