My first psychosis started while I was working for Amazon after encountering corrupts at my facility. At first I attempted to ignore the corrupts, but it got to the point where my numbers where being effected by the corruption. As a result I became piss and decide to report the corruption to the local HR, big mistake local HR didn’t have assess to the stow rates and tip off everyone in management about me. Later that day I contacted ethics line (Amazon version of the FBI) reported everything that happen to me, Ethics agents fix everything going wrong at my facility, but as result of the stress of whole situation I became psychotic, two week later got put in a psych ward.
Stress management is a huge part of handling both positive and negative symptoms. I attend therapy and also do exercises from therapy books to help with this.
I just started doing therapy
Yes stress triggered mine the first time too.
Stress, specifically social stress is what triggered most of my episodes. If not all.
Having differences with people around me.
I have to be very careful with stress too. Otherwise it’s the psychiatric ward for me.
My janitor job isn’t very stressful. I’m half asleep while I’m working and walking around the building.`It has it’s moments of stress but not many.
There are lot of coping mechanisms for avoiding stress. Need to find out which ones work for us to use that to destress ourselves. Be at work or home or outside. Every place has its unpredictability in terms of what comes next. We need to be prepared.
Strangely i think i can say my psychosis has ever been triggered by stress…either that or i got used to the stress and it did trigger…i really dont know
