I’ve been having problems with gut on lower right side for 3 months and it’s been getting worse. Tonight I woke up with stomach pains and did not get back to sleep, which was a new development. So I went to see a GP today. Not my regular unfortunately, but the one I saw seemed to be good.
Anyway, she didn’t find anything conclusive, nothing likely to be serious she said, but I’m getting a colonoschopy to try to find out what’s going on.
I guess all I can do in the meantime is take it easy and try to eat healthy and easy to digest stuff. I got sickleave from work till next week.
He should do a test for the presence of h pylori bacteria as well. Ask the doc about it.
Having this is symptomatic of the presence of a stomach ulcer.
I too had a colonoscopy and proved i had a stomach ulcer.
It is easily treatable with a complete cure by taking antibiotics that rids the stomach of h pylori bacteria. That is what I did and this was back in the 80’s.
I have lifted this with my regular GP before, but she was sceptical somehow. I think they are reluctant to use antibiotics because of increasing rates of bacterial resistance.
I might bring it up again though depending on what happens next.
