Stomach issues makes it hard to drink stuff

I have trouble with cow’s milk. So I tried Almond, oat, and soy milk. But all of these were no go as well. So I decided to come full circle and try coconut , and rice milk as too. I want to incorporate a solid calcium source in the diet. I don’t trust calcium supplements in pill form. Some reports say they are ineffective and possibly build up in arteries.

I have had stomach issues, probably some sort of ulcer, and I’m reacting to a whole lot of foods and drink after this. The doctor sent me to do colonoscopy and ultrasound, but they didn’t find anything. We agreed to do further tests if it gets worse though. Meanwhile I’m trying to avoid anything that triggers it, which is most stuff. Hopefully I’ll figure something out and it will reverse.

You ever drank ginger ale. Ginger settles my stomach a lot of times it is upset.

I probably can’t drink it. I can’t drink sodas or anything with bubbles in it. I can drink some juices, but I have to dillute them with water.

Thanks anyway though.

Tums have calcium in them. You might be able to kill two birds with one stone. I don’t know much about ulcers though, so it might be best to check with your doc first.

Oh. I don’t know if you guys have an equivalent. It’s like a little chewable tablet people use when they have an upset stomach. It’s mostly calcium carbonate.

Thanks. Yeah they seem to have it at the pharmacy. I’ll probably give it a go.

Try

  1. Oranges
  2. Nuts
  3. Green wing beans
  4. Darky leafy greens
  5. Fish
  6. Tofu
  7. Fortified foods with added calcium

You may be lactose intolerant. Those all have good sources of calcium especially oranges.

Hope this helps
