Still white

Ah…just looked it up . I guess I misinterpreted the “Fictional nationality of of Kazakhstan” reference as meaning the country was fictional when in fact it was just his nationality was fictional and not the country. My bad.

I could’ve swore I remember that from 2006 when I saw that movie, but I guess I misinterpreted it at the time.

My bad.

If you liked Borat, there’s an early 00’s british show called “da ali g show” which features more hilarious scenes from SBC as Borat

I see where I got it from now :

Borat’s fictional home village of Kuzcek, Kazakhstan .

The village was fake, not the country.,

Some black DNA cousins

I suspect they may be in a pile up region . Unfortunately Ancestry DNA doesn’t have a chromosome browser. So I can’t say for certain.

I got co-opted onto a FB group for people who supposedly have Native American ancestry. I think it’s highly unlikely, but quite a few of my DNA cousins in the USA supposedly have Native American ancestors. I have Sizemore DNA cousins. Some Sizemore are part of the Native American project at Wikitree.

This DNA cousin has 32% indigenous Americas

Like not proud to be white in any shape or form these days but honestly it’s highly unlikely.

My skin goes brown pretty quickly with sun and I’ve similar people in the gene pool…but I do have others who’ve really white characteristics and problems with the skin.

I’ve never really gone into it but I suspect some intervention with different cultures in my past. I think it would be interesting to know but I’m not really interested. What we did to indigenous people out here really did suck. I would imagine it would out there in America too…

I think that becomes a problem for sure without being too political!

I don’t want to get political here either but I feel I need to interject. None of the issues in history are really race issues, IMO. No race or ethnicity is inherently evil or bad.

It’s primarily a power issue(mixed with bad ideologies often). Whether that power comes through numbers, technological superiority, political strength or whatever.

Much of the time when there is a power imbalance, some of those with the power will move on those in weaker positions because of racism, for financial gain, different ideologies, or just because they are so focused on “those like them”.

You’ve seen it with hitler, you see it with slavery, you see it all over the place.

The real problem is primarily power, with a good mixing of ideology and lack of empathy for others that may be a bit different than you.

I hope that things are improving for the better but you can still see this happening in some places in the world. Something, I really can’t get into without going into politics.

Edit: I really wish I could get into current events to prove my point, but I really can’t without violating the rules. Most people raised in the same environment with no knowledge of their race would turn out basically the same, even if , unknown to them, they were different from each other. Humans are humans.

This is exactly why current politics disgusts me so much as I have posted recently. The focus on “those like me” on all sides, makes me want to vomit. :face_vomiting:

Yeah. I concur. It’s nuts and we all should be past it for sure but we are past it.
