Static microsoft, no real competition

I feel like computers have been the same almost since the beginning. Windows and internet in a static form…just new versions of the same old stuff.

Microsoft doesen’t have any real competition. When they nuked the commodore corporation back in the early 90’s, that was it.

Isn’t it strange that a commerce that everyone needs only has one provider?

Microsoft’s corporate growth had its time during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Presently, Microsoft has a minor market share in the business server software market, majority market share in it Microsoft Office Suite of products and finally its Surface line of products.

Linux server software competes with Microsoft Server. Google Docs & Sheets as well as Libre Office compete with Microsoft Office. Lastly, Apple products such as the iPad, Mac but also Dell compete with Microsoft Surface Products.

Microsoft does not have a mobile operating system or mobile apps platform to provide mobile apps to its once existing mobile operating system. Windows Mobile died almost a decade ago. The same can be said of BlackBerry OS and its BlackBerry devices.
