I went to Stat Counter’s website and judging by the graph, Microsoft Windows has lost the majority market share of operating systems used worldwide to Android. How will this trend line affect the adoption rate of Windows 11 going forward from 2021?
Maybe thats why they’re making Windows 11?
But its true that more and more ppl rely on their phones/tablets more than their computer.
My phone will never replace my computer for surfing the internet. I can’t stand surfing the net on my phone, I down right hate it.
Windows 10 extended support ends in October of 2025 which is why Windows 11 is being launched soon. But yes, I agree that smartphones & tablets are replacing desktop computers & laptops.
What about surfing the Internet on a tablet? I find a tablet quite convenient to surf the web rather than a smartphone or desktop/laptop.
I prefer playing video games on my PC as its more powerful and better graphics than consoles and tablets/cellphones.
Nope. I like a big 27" monitor, a full size keyboard and a mouse…maybe I am old school.
I have an android smartphone, and it has its uses, but surfing the internet isn’t what I use it for.
Yeah, gaming PCs will always be a niche market where those profit margins for high-end gaming hardware will generate lots of revenue for PC Gaming vendors.
Gaming consoles are good as well but they are standardized and cannot be upgraded like a gaming PC.
Is your 27" monitor 1080p? 1440p? or 2160p? I find 1080p to be the right size to surf web pages. Not to high in resolution and not too low in resolution.
I have an ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q 27" 2560x1440 IPS 165Hz 4ms G-SYNC monitor. I’ve had it for about 5 years and I love it.
Your 27" monitor specifications are impressive. I can see why you would enjoy surfing the web on it. But is your monitor HDR capable? That’s a feature you left out.
No HDR, wasn’t available for this monitor. 5 years ago when it was released I don’t think HDR was widely available. But the image quality is still very good.
I have a 27" 4K monitor and I have no problem seeing text or surfing the web. You can adjust the font and everything else’s size in windows settings.
It’s a 5 year old monitor but PCGamer still lists it as the best gaming monitor
I too, have a 2x 27" 4K monitors but I have 2 windows stacked side by side since the monitor is 1920+1920=3840.
There are many schizophrenic gamers on this forum so I am not surprised that majority of users on this forum use Windows 10.
What about those ultrawide monitors or a 32" 1440p monitor?
To each their own. I’m not a big fan of ultrawide.
I use my (Android) phone for absolutely everything. I haven’t used my PC in years.
I was considering purchasing an ultrawide but the resolution and snapping windows on one large screen didn’t appeal to me.
Weren’t you an IT? You betrayed your PC! Lol
