I think it’s normal for a schizophrenic to think they have some sort of energy others don’t have. It may come with the denial of schizophrenia, I’d imagine I could hear radio waves. I thought everyone could though.
Feeling like you might faint when you stand up can be a side effect. I used to get dizzy when I took abilify. You could discuss that with a doctor as well as the static if you choose to.
I used to feel similar when I was off antipsychotics. I felt zaps and stuff when I’d touch things and I’d feel static around me. I thought it was my Ki hah. The old memories. Who knows… It could be real but we’re not supposed to encourage each other’s illnesses.
@Jesspresso I want you to try an experiment, try to drink 8 large glasses of water today and see if that cuts down on the static feeling. Let me know tomorrow if it has any affect because I’m really curious.
How about a half of those 8 times. If you can get all that down a little at a time then let me know tomorrow if your head static gets better or worse. I think 8 full glasses would be a little too much, you would be in the bathroom all day. lol. And don’t drink it all at once because too much water can throw off your electrolytes and can be dangerous, so sip , don’t guzzle, ok?
I get the static feeling sometimes, as well as the dizziness. It could be low blood pressure. Like @tera said, drinking lots of water should help with this, as well as increasing your sodium intake.
It could also be a magnesium deficiency. If extra water and salt doesn’t help, you could maybe get your magnesium levels checked.
I like to take baths in Epsom salts to soak up the magnesium but don’t use if your taking Lithium as it can increase your lithium levels to a dangerous high like it did to me. Actually hot tubs can do it too from what I’ve read.
