Starting to watch movies again. One a night. (just got Netflix)

It all started in such a cool way. I was looking through all the movies I owned that my brother gave to me because he was switching to blu ray. Anyways, the first movie that I really wanted to watch was because it is my favorite movie ever and I wanted Angie to watch it because it’s a love story. It’s “roadie” starring Art Carney, Meatloaf, Alice Cooper, Roy Orbison, Hank Williams Jr. Blondie and Gaylord Sartain the world’s funniest comedian. I love that guy. well, the next night, I thought. I really should watch episode 6 “the return of the Jedi” so we watched that. And now we’re rolling because tonight we watched “walk the line” the Johnny Cash and June Carter movie. It’s bonding to watch movies with Angela. I am so happy that I can watch movies now.

The negatives of the internet streaming movies is there are no video stores around anymore. I totally loved that experience and was a great stand by for a cheap date.

there is a rental place here in town but it is more expensive to watch as many movies as I want to watch. I had a girlfriend once that said she would peruse movies at rental places to try and bump into someone she could date. just a thought for you guys and gals out there. haha…

They only have vending machines in our local supermarket now. I’ve never used them as not much variety.

dude, I get one dvd at a time from netflix for $8 bucks a month. That’s cheaper than my spotify?

Yeah I have my sites for movies and tv series as well. It’s just that watching movies on my little laptop isn’t the same as watching on my bigger screen, especially with more than one person.

yeah, watching the movies with Angie is really comforting to me that we both share watching the movies.? I wouldn’t watch the movies by myself. At least not at this stage.

This is a great step that you can do this. I remember when I used to be to keyed up to sit that long and didn’t have enough concentration to understand what was going on.

It’s little thing… watching movies…

But it’s a big things as well… concentration improving, enjoying company, engaging in the company AND the movie at the same time.

Congratulations. I remember when it hit me that I could concentrate through an entire movie and not feel exhausted and upset. No one seemed as excited as I was.

I give you a huge thumbs up…

I recently got Netflix also - I like Orange is the new black -I saw the first episode of Sons of Anarchy and did not like it - dumb theme, poor acting, and I am not a big fan of Ron Pearlman or Katey Sagal
Started seeing Breaking Bad and so far its a bit dark - but Im kind of liking it

I love Orange is the New Black. My mom and I would binge watch it and are now watching it again with a friend. My mom also really got into House of Cards, but I can’t follow politics so I didn’t watch it past the first two episodes. I love Netflix! We also have Vudu on our TV, which you have to pay per each movie or show. I’ve been watching Nurse Jackie on there and am hooked. :sunny:

I did not realize what a fantastic singer Katey Sagal is. Amazing.

Who knew!

Wow didnt know she could sing - thanks for the info @pixel

I didn’t know either until the credits were rolling. She is a very multifacted performer. I have to say that she does a pretty good job in this series, but it’s such dark material that watching takes a toll on a person.

Walk the line was a good movie. If you like movies about musician’s you should try Cadillac Records, it was a good story about the start of Muddy Waters, Etta James, and the start up of Chess Records. It’s not available via stream, you’d have to rent the disk.
