Starting to get a little bit of involuntary movement in my legs on occasion when sitting or laying down

It’s not real severe, but its annoying. Hoping it doesnt get anymore severe.

Don’t really know if this is akathisia or not, as I have never had it before.

Anyone else got this?

Akathisia has never been involuntary for me. I move cause of the restlessness. My arm and fingers sometimes rock involuntarily tho. Idk what that is

Although rare, taking Vraylar can cause a serious side effect called tardive dyskinesia . It refers to uncontrolled body movements that are repetitive. Symptoms of tardive dyskinesia can include: chewing motions.

This article talks about it.

Could just be dyskinesia. Its not tardive unless it’s permanent after u quit taking the med.

Yea it could be that.

Dyskinesias are involuntary, erratic, writhing movements of the face, arms, legs or trunk. They are often fluid and dance-like, but they may also cause rapid jerking or slow and extended muscle spasms.

My doctor upped my Lybalvi and now a few nights out of the week I get restless legs and have to walk around my room for 30 minutes at a time. Plus, I meditate that helps some. Sucks

I’ve had involuntary movements since I tried my first AD a decade ago (Zoloft) also gained a ton of weight on it.

I have had this issue. A lot of medications depletes vitamin B1. On top of that, lack of other vitamin B’s can be responsible for involuntary movement. As soon as I look a B1 complex the movements stopped. Vitamin B1 as Benfotiamine is the best adsorbed. I will take the following, 2 in the morning and 2 at night:

There are some other things that can help as well: Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese, and Omega 3. A good multivitamin and fish oil will take care of most of these.

WOuldnt a vitamin b deficiency show up on blood work? I get regular blood work.

Edit: I know vitamin D did

I looked up to see if a vitamin B deficiency shows up in regular blood work.

Google says,

Depends on what your doctor considers regular blood work.

I know at every doctor’s office I’ve worked at aside from surgical ones,

We checked for B vitamins so I’d be surprised if your doctor didn’t.

But I see we have a new forum doctor that’s made a case,

So,

I don’t know.

I’d ask my doctor if he checked.

But I wouldn’t jump to take another pill,

Or four pills if you do her routine.

I had akathisia on my first ap, amisulpride.
I couldn’t sit down.
Pdoc gave me a med and it went away

Vitamin D is usually considered normal at 30ng/ml. However this is not optimal. 60ng/ml-70ng/ml is optimal. levels above 150ng/ml are considered toxic, so you have A LOT of wiggle room. Taking up to 10,000iu a day is generally considered safe. Most people want you to take between 400-600iu a day, I take ~8,000iu a day of D3 to keep my level 25 OH vitamin D level at 70ng/ml. You also want you vitamin D3 to have k2 in it so you don’t get a calcium build up in your arteries! Don’t take D2 as it is synthetic.

I doubt you had any vitamin B tested in any bloodwork.
