Hey friends I’m currently wondering how wide Akathisia normally gets. Is it just legs only for you. Or you also had restless body along legs as I did.
I’m currently feeling better right now, but earlier my Akathisia was trembling more than just legs, it’s like I felt my entire body was restless. I’m hoping that’s just temporary setback as I started kemadrin 5MG twice a day along AP’s.
But those were one the most weird sensations I’ve had in my life.
I read somewhere that akathasia happens when you take low dose antipsychotics. I had akathasia and restless legs on rexulti and caplyta. Once my doctor maxed out the doses he told me to try stopping the benztropine and see what happens? My restless leg and akathasia went away. Just my two cents.
Fascinating info, thanks for sharing. I spoke with few people who are on high doses of meds and got no restlessness apart from not being able to have deep sleep. Example room mate in ward is on 800 amisulpride and 500 seroquel without restlessness. I’m going to follow up on your information provided
You might need dose tweaking. I got temporary akathisia after starting low dose aripirazole add on. My dyskinesia symptoms got worse after I stopped it. These seemed to worsen after med change as well.
it effects my body and mind. everywhere i feel it, and my mind feel unsatisfied by it. one time i had it i chopped off all my hair cause i needed to do something so i decided to give myself a hair cut and messed it up
Akathisia is really bad when it comes, would you classify this as negative symptoms?
Just wondering, i went to the doctor and he prescribed me propranolol and it mostly worked
At first it wasn’t too good but they he put me on 3 rather than 2 tablets - wicked idea 4 me - i hope this post makes sense as ive been awake all night

I wouldn’t personally know much about negatives but depression counterpart.
But Aka can sometimes be real torture. I just have to wait for meds to leave my system and I’m ok after.
Yes @irrelevant same here I can feel trembling all over place this is the most unpleasant experience I had to endure.
Most likely end up stopping the med @AhmShere I can’t risk another sleepless night because of tremors.
