I feel a bit odd. Like i’m having a lot of symptoms I can’t notice
I took it for a few months. I was not impressed. I relapsed while on it because my pdoc didn’t increase the dosage enough because it wasn’t working. I was taking 24 mg. Perphenazine is one of those meds (in my experience) that needs time to build up in your system to work. Your mileage may vary.
My visual distortions are noticeably less than they have been, and I think i’m thinking a little clearer, but I don’t feel right
Not trying to freak you out (I AM highly resistant to meds, after all), but it took me about 72 hours before I called the pdoc begging to be seen, or at least up my dose. She wouldn’t do it. She is a 3rd year med student, so I wouldn’t take too much stock in it if I was you. I know @Jayster is on it, and seems to be doing pretty well.
I was told it’s one of the go to meds for people with a brain injury
Never heard that before. It’s news to me. This first paragraph in the link below says it can obscure brain injuries.
I have taken Trilafon, Perphenazine, for greater than 40 years. I like it.
Jayster
my ex wife is on perphenazine and loves it. I am on fluphenazine (prolixin) and I love it.
It says when used for its antiemitic or something qualities
I dont really know if i suffered any brain damage in the accident anyway. I ate a mail box going 70 so i probably did, but i dont think they checked
I just wanted to say thank you for the guy who posted this. My whole life I’ve been different and they put me on perphenazine and wow like a 360 health wise! Hearing that perphenazine is the go to med for traumatic brain injury gave me some hope for my condition so thanks again
