I didn’t exactly count calories but I ate food with much less calories, fat and carbs. I had lots of protein. I lost 55kg

I gave up calorie counting because it always yells at me for not eating enough.

When I was at my lowest weight I was calorie counting. Worked great. It was also before psychosis. I’m not as focused/dedicated now

Wishing you luck and that it works for you!

Im going to just hardly eat and do some exercise for a few months and see what happens. And cut out sugar, except for a peice of fruit.
I mainly eat out of boredom so if i can get over that I’ll be fine. I used to eat very little. Want to get back to that. Hate how the more you eat then the more you feel you need to eat. Ive put on over 30kgs in the last few years.

Calorie counting is the only way I’ve lost weight as an adult and kept my weight down or around my ideal weight.

I calorie counted. After a while it all becomes second nature. You know how many calories are in each food. So you can decide quickly if it’s something you want to have or not.

Haven’t done it in a while but I am recovering from an ED.

Yea that’s a lot of weight, in fact that is my total body weight I’m aiming for. Congratulations.

I just eat healthy foods- my naughty foods are sweetened dehydrated foods. I have tried calorie counting in the past but to no avail.

My dr just told me how can i lose so much weight but can’t handle a job, even some of those who work full time can’t lose weight. I gained 4kg since Christmas as I started eating more after fainting from low food intake. Also i am alone for 2 weeks and no one is cooking so I either eat oatmeal, egg ham sandwiches or eat in restaurants

I use a calorie counting app. I’ll probably have to use it forever to keep the weight off.

But I’ve lost at least 20kg calorie counting so far.

I use an app called “OmNom notes”. It’s Available for android and iPhone too.

@Qwerty , I use the free version of MyFitnessPal. It helps me know how much I’ve really eaten, but only if I put every ingredient individually in for each meal. Like instead of searching meatloaf, I would put 3 oz 85/15 ground beef, 1/4 egg, 1 TBSP breadcrumbs, etc. Doing it that way helps me keep accurate track of my calories and therefore lose weight.

It’s something everybody should do once in their life for a couple months, it gives you knowledge about daily nutrition that sticks with you for life. It’s not forever, after a while that you count calories you learn what’s what for the most part. I just count proteins personally and manage my daily caloric intake based on whether the scale says I need to eat more or less, without actually counting.
