Do you think sz people are more enlightened or spiritually connected? Do you think there is a world only we see?
When I die I might have a clue what this was all about. Right now it could be anything.
No and yes. I don’t believe schizophrenia is enlightenment, but I do feel we are more “spiritually connected” to the world’s inhabitants, not that that is a good thing necessarily, it’s pretty suffocating, like for example with thought broadcasting, where every little thought you have feels like it can be read / responded to by total strangers.
I was starting to think being schizophrenic meant I wasn’t allowed to believe in spiritual things. I have to believe to some extent, if I stop believing in an afterlife it will haunt me through every single night of my life.
I guess it depends what you mean by spiritually connected.
Here’s my thing. I’ve had voices predict the future and I’m not bull ishing and these instances were legit impossible predictions. Not vague at all. One time I was on instagram and a voice said “I spy with my little eye” about a minute went by of scrolling and what appeared was a Kylie Jenner post that said “I spy with my little eye.” Stuff like this mostly happens when I’m super psychotic
It’s gotten to the point where I’ve came to the conclusion that if there wasn’t something more going on there would be no reason for my brain to basically be exercising super powers like it’s no big deal. I’m starting to think that this illness was just labeled as an illness but it’s more than that.
I’ve had events like that too, voices telling me something that happens a few seconds later. It’s not a huge life-changer, just a kind of “wow, that happened.” moment.
I’d trade those odd moments for sanity anyday.
There’s a ted talk that’s about psychosis really just being a spiritual awakening. And if you look up “schizophrenia psychic” there’s actually people talking about this stuff.
No,
Its just faulty wiring,
No spirituality about it.
I agree about the sanity part
Don’t encourage delusions, @Samuelmcc.
