Spasms in my scrotum from Abilify?

I like Abilify and I want to stay on it because it’s better than the other meds I’ve been on in the past in terms of side effects , more activating, unfortunately since I started taking the shot I’ve been getting spasms in my nuts all the time. Like as if I’m getting into cold water, it happens regularly and it’s annoying.
I’m going to talk to my pdoc about it
I’ve been embarrassed to bring it up

Cannabis helps alleviate the symptom but I don’t want to be on it because of positives

Hm, that’s strange. Yeah, bring it up with your pdoc. Don’t be embarrassed, I’m sure they’ve heard worse. As a health professional, they have probably heard lots of strange things from their patients. Don’t worry about it too much. If you don’t bring it up, they can’t help you with it!

I mean there are muscles down there so it could be some sort of dyskinesia. I’d see your doc about it.

Exactly it tightens the muscles and it can even be slightly painful

Yeah, could be the start of a movement disorder. I got cervical dystonia and tardive dyskinesia from meds. So, best to talk to your pdoc as soon as you can.

Sorry, just wanted to add… The sooner you get it addressed, the more likely it can be reversed / stopped. Your pdoc might adjust your dose of current meds or switch your meds entirely.

Yeah I think that my meds are going to be switched. I can’t really take a lower dose
