Thanks man! Im working with an emcee from a musicians discord and he is gonna help me arrange it because Im not the greatest vocalist so I didnt do it in like a verse-chorus format I just did changeups and stuff when I felt like it lol

I’d add a strong piano bass line to give the piano a little more form, I’m not sure how that’d sit with the sub but I’m sure you could make it work. Might just bring the two together more
A guitar solo midway or at the end might be in order… or maybe for the hook

As for the automation, I tried that but it sounded just a bit too much like edm, which is a good vibe but I dont wanna lean too heavily into any genre on this one tho this is pretty clearly trap lol
Guitar solo might be good tho if I can get the timing and stop the amp buzz lol its been the bane of my existence recently

Thanks man I thibk the one thing that it’s missing basically is that mid bass frequency. You’ve got the verby piano and the really deep bass but that Octavve above the bass is missing. …and that’s what at least with me is usually driving the song… anyways that’s one man’s opinion haha best of luck and great work hope you take my advice with a grain of salt

Yeah for me its the upper mids that tend to have the most energy. Interesting how that works lol
I tend the give lower mids the least love, probably cuz everyone calls it the “muddy” region on youtube at least. But your recent songs all sound really clear so its probably bs

I mean it’s gonna depend as well because your making songs for rappers so u have to leave that space…perhaps it’s a good idea I’m not sure but i feel the bass is what moves people and the drums obviously. … the sub people can feel but i mean that basic bass line i feel is really important

Yeah the phaser is the most underused effect type imo its so versatile! I mean not as much as a chorus but it can be used really subtly or really creatively
Yeah true, depends on the rappers voice I guess, but I think a lower more melodic voice would suit this song great, so I think Ill leave those notes out for now, and maybe focus on bringing out the upper lows in the 808. Thanks again man!
