Yeah so I went for a walk the other night around 1 in the morning, and this stupid punk with his hat tipped back came over to me and he’s like, “What are you doing!” And then he accused me of looking for cars to break into because kids in the neighborhood do all the time. I pretty much told him to piss off and he seemed pretty upset that I wasn’t afraid of him. But boy if he ever does that again I might have to introduce him to some pavement, to let him know he can’t just be harassing citizens that he THINKS are criminals. We’ll I’m not that dumb actually since I’ll get in trouble but still. Stupid hero… I hate Heros.
While accosting people on the street isn’t the best way to go about it, I feel that more people should get involved with protecting their communities. If more people did it then this world would be a better place. I like heroes.
Twice I’ve been accosted for taking a walk down the street. I guess I look suspicious…I do tend to walk funny. The last time it happened I told them to just call the cops. There are so many bad things happening out there, and I can’t go for a walk. I understand your frustration.
Nah like not in this scenario, I live in the suburbs where there is no crime at all. So we have a good police force and that’s what they’re for. This guy was just bein a dick cause I looked like a bum. And I looked like an easy target cause I had an expression of paranoia on my face. If he was seriously threatened by my presance he wouldn’t have approached me so disrespectfully. He was just a skinny punk college kid that obviously has something to prove. A “hero”.
I work in with the parks department and it’s odd that I get the most flack in the “nicer” parts of town.
In the slightly rougher parts, people seem friendly. They stop and chat.
In the “nicer” parts it’s all gated community and more then once people have threatened to call the cops on me for loitering… despite my city I.D. and the fact that I’m pruning a hedge weeding a garden patch.
I always wonder why it’s called the “nice” part of town because it’s pretty dang rude and uncaring.
