This is the second time in a couple months they have logged in with the correct password after I changed it. This time I changed the password, ran an antivirus, which found nothing, then changed both of my email passwords to really random things.
Made me angry that I had to do all that just because some jerk has to play a few video games and compromise my security. I dont even use the account that much but somehow he mustve compromised my email as well. Jerk.
You might have hackers who follow you. That’s what happened to me. I think mine finally left, but it sounds like you have hackers who just follow what you do online.
I dont know but I had alot of similar passwords, so now Im changing everything thats important at all. Jerks. Just what i want to do in the middle of the night.
I downloaded malwarebytes and it told me there was some kind of breach on a gaming site that revealed one of my passwords. Since I had a few things with similar passwords, it wouldnt take much to use a brute force with variations on the password to find some.
Now I have them all completely random which Im never going to remember, so Im going to have to use my cheat sheets every time I log in somewhere.
Hopefully that’ll work. As far as what I had to do, I literally had to buy a new phone and computer just to get them off my tail. It worked and they haven’t been back since, but I hate it when hackers mess with you. Ugly a**holes!
If you have a smart phone, you should install the Steam app and enable the authenticator. That way, it is tied to your phone as well and you can’t login unless you approve it on your app. I use it.
