Hi superdry, i am on clozapine for nearly 13 years, i nearly gave up on ap before clozapine. It is the only medication that has worked for me! No for the negative aspects , i gained alot of weight at the start went up to 19 stone, but the last few years have slimed down to just under 14 stone I now have a very good diet, no sweets on sugary drinks no beer or no smoking, no takeouts! Another side effect is sedation but that has also improved after few years yes i do get tired but nowdays its not to bad! Lastely constapation can also be an issue for people but drinking plenty of water and excercise can help a lot! Overall the positives outweigh the negative by faf! Hopefully reading this will help you! I wish you all the best with your recovery! sean
