So, the trazodone seems to be helping some

Seems to be helping some with sleeping more of the night through without as much waking up…and when I do wake up I seem to get back to sleep more often.

The only issue I see, is that I seem to be getting drowsy throughout the day.

My pdoc said before that you are only supposed to be a bit out of it a couple hours after you wake. I am calling hogwash on that one. I do not know if its the trazadone itself or sleeping longer, but I am getting tired during the day often, even though I am getting more sleep at night  . I am still getting so tired that I have to nap. Explain that one too me. . I don’t know.

I just took one btw, so will likely meeting up with the sandman soon.

It was the same for me; even worse. It made me feel violent too which was a weird effect - cos it’s not really documented

Trazadone can really make you tired up to 24 hours after you take it. I was on it for years then it gave me heart palpitations so I had to switch to mirtazapine.

Yeah. I was on it for many years too. They pretty much put everyone on it in the state hospital at that time when I was in. I was drowsy. I hope you get used to it. It has been so long I can’t remember if I did or not. I don’t take it any longer because olanzapine and gabapentin help me sleep nowadays. Best wishes to you.
